Instagram has issued a warning to users who search #DubaiDolphinarium

For some unknown reason, people still think it’s okay to be a total jerk to animals. Last week, a video went viral of a trainer at Dubai Dolphinarium in which she attempted to ride one of the dolphins. Naturally, decent human beings were outraged by the video’s content and began expressing their distaste.

We don’t (or shouldn’t) have to tell you that marine animals such as bottlenose dolphins are not equipped to be on land let alone ridden by someone, especially when “someone” is extra heavy with ignorance.

Now, Instagram has stepped in. Users who search for #DubaiDolphinarium on the app will now be met with a warning which states: “Animal abuse and the sale of endangered animals or their parts is not allowed on Instagram. You are searching for a hashtag that may be associated with posts that encourage harmful behavior to animals or the environment.”

Instagram has also removed some of the posts which display examples of animal abuse.
