Lindsay Lohan and ‘The Parent Trap’ cast will reunite for this special anniversary

That’s right, our favorite childhood movie’s cast is coming together for a virtual reunion and we really cannot wait.

Nancy Meyers, the director of The Parent Trap, took to Instagram to share the news with the world that this reunion was taking place in honor of the movie’s 22^nd anniversary.

Meyers wrote, “Sorry for the mini delay but the secret’s out! @katiecouric and I got the ‘Parent Trap’ cast back together for the first time since we made our movie. We had a blast. You can see us all tomorrow July 20 at 9 AM on @katiecouric’s Instagram.” Katie Couric will be hosting this reunion which is set to bring together Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid and Elaine Hendrix.

A lot of people are unaware that this version of The Parent Trap was actually a remake of the 1961 film of the same name, which starred Hayley Mills and Natasha Richardson.

The film revolves around a young pair of twins separated at birth, who meet by chance at a summer camp. The two plan to switch places in an attempt to reunite their parents.

The reunion is set to take place on Instagram on July 20 on Couric’s Instagram page.
